Katti Batti is a romantic comedy film. The story revolves around Maddy & Payal’s live-in relationship for 5 years and until a sudden turn of events when Payal leaves Maddy mid-way.

“Kangana Ranaut and Imran Khan are old wine in new bottle”. The film is severely haphazard, and leaves viewers struggling to survive till the end. In between, the music offers a much-needed respite from the film, provided you close your eyes and just listen to the songs.

We were shooting for Ek Tha Tiger in Turkey and it was the night of 9th November which also happens to be my birthday. I was fast asleep in my room and at three in the morning Salman sir came and dragged me to his room. He first wished me happy birthday and then said, 'Sooraj I have a gift for you. I want you to do a film for my production house Salman Khan films. Would you like to do it?' I said,'Ofcourse sir'. On returning to Mumbai, Salman sir asked to start training and wait for his call. I waited for almost one and half years. Finally, he called one day and said,'Sooraj, I have got a script. It's a remake of Hero. Are you interested? I said yes and that is how Hero happened.

Hero is a debut film that makes Saawariya and Student of the Year seem good movies. That says a lot about the film itself. Hero is made less with the purpose of demonstrating the acting capabilities of the newcomers and more with the intention of presenting their physical attributes. It’s been especially unkind to the TV actors, half-baked characters and writer‘s poor contemporary adaptation, which makes it leading lady sound daft and gives its hero zero personality, make Hero a yawn fest.

Nikhil Advani's HERO has been aggressively marketed and no corners have been cut to ensure that the promotions reach all across. If only the same amount of passion was invested in writing a nice dramatic entertainer.  On the whole, HERO fails the litmus test of rehashing a classic for the Generation Next. It appeals in very small measures and is not an ideal weekend entertainer. If you a die-hard Salman Khan fan, you may want to patronise, else avoid.

Anees Bazmee has pushed the envelope in tom-foolery and dumbass `ness' here. The film is a mishmash of garish sets, mindless action and screeching actors. The saving grace is, some smart one-liners and heartfelt performances. Anil and Nana must be credited for convincingly playing jokers; kudos to Dimple, Paresh and Naseer for letting go. Surely, the stellar cast has done this film either for a handsome payment or in the sincere hope that it will reign at the box office.

Welcome Back rolls it all out with vengeance: snazzy automobiles, eye-popping locations, flashy conmen, a relentlessly obtrusive background score and an unconscionably elongated climax in the desert. But nothing that this nonsensical action comedy unleashes, not even the in-form Anil Kapoor-Nana Patekar pair, can compensate for its absence of substance.

The story is essentially on similar lines as Welcome. Anees Bazmee and his team have done a commendable job there.Among the weak parts of the film is its climax. In a nutshell, Welcome Back is quite the laugh riot that can de-stress you after the atrocities of the week. Leave the brains aside, and you have (at least) two hours of hardcore fun.

VERDICT: Uday Shetty and Majnu Bhai are back to entertain you with their antics.Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar deliver brilliant performances. Their chemistry and comic timing are among of the film’s strongest points. Anees Bazmee, who is is no new name to the genre of comedy has done a great job with this film and thankfully avoided the slapstick route. The two weakest points of the film are the climax and the soundtrack. Somewhere towards the end of Welcome Back, the movie tends to seem over-the-top and even drag a bit. The music is far from being memorable and the film could have easily done with fewer songs. Two item numbers, seriously?

If you enjoy slapstick comedy that defies logic and have enjoyed WELCOME, then WELCOME BACK is surely a paisa vasool entertainer for you.WELCOME BACK does not really have a uniform storyline, but yet the whole affair turns out to be very funny.The comedy scenes and one-liners in the film are brilliant. While the film's music (Anu Malik, Meet Bros & Anjjan, Mika Singh) fails to impress and is a big letdown, it is the background score (Aadesh Shrivastava) that has the film moving.
